Don’t you love a good deal? I’m a big fan of Craigslist.org. Yes, I’ve had some crazy experiences (Craigslist Robber), but some of the finds are unbelievable.
I remember wanting an iPod Touch so badly. But for $399 + tax brand new, it wasn’t going to happen. So I started scanning Craigslist. Every day, sometimes even a couple times a day. But the deals weren’t that great.
Then one day, I came across a newly listed brand new iPod Touch. The price? Only $200! Apparently, the seller had been given it after already owning one and just wanted to get rid of it.
When I saw how good a deal it was, I pounced on it. I called the seller up. I jumped in my car, cancelled my other plans, and drove (safely and within the speed limit, of course) to Tim Horton’s to pick it up. And I’m still excited about that deal today. You see, when you come across an AMAZING opportunity, you don’t put it off, you don’t hold back, and you don’t look back.

The Holy Spirit is at work on campuses across the Northeast! We just recently heard a story from a few BASIC students at SUNY Geneseo. The BASIC students were visiting a small group meeting of another Christian ministry on campus. After the meeting ended, the leader of the other club asked if anyone wanted to discuss anything else. A student in BASIC asked how others felt about baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.

What a crazy week! One week ago, I thought I was buying a computer on craigslist.org. As I met with the “seller” in my car at a Wal-Mart parking lot, he asked to see the $1000 I had brought to buy the computer. I told him I wanted to see the computer first. Instead of reaching into his bag to pull out a computer, he pulled out a black and silver handgun and pointed it right at me!

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3.
I heard it said recently, “Dream big, or get out of God’s way.” I kind of liked that! Some-times, I think we forget how significant God’s plans for us are. Even the Lord’s prayer stresses God’s desire to see His Kingdom come to pass “on earth as it is in heaven.”
I had the privilege to listen live to Rev. Robert Schuller, the famous pastor and founder of the Crystal Cathedral. During his speech, he jested, “Even God can’t hear some of your prayers because they’re so small!”
He was joking, but God spoke to me that it’s time to dream bigger. BASIC is making a huge difference on about 25 campuses in the Northeast. But could a day come where we could reach students on 50, 100, or 500 campuses? Could a revival still sweep across the Northeast like it did in the days of evangelists like Charles Finney?
